| Historical Background | The kovil was formed more than 100 years ago. It only had the Ammen covered by Iron sheet. Inhabitants of Le Val & St Hubert was occupying the kovil. For the last 50 years, the Kovil was occupied and taking care by a family, generations after generations and all that submitted by the approval of the members. We have lots and lots of families from across the Island who come to attend all our prayers and also come to pray on normal days.Many miracles occured in our kovil where couples get their 1st child after years and years. People were cured when doctor lost hope. It is a blessed Kovil. |

| Historical Background | It is an anciet kovil situated at Riche En Eay and located on the land of ex Riche En Eau Sugar Estate. It has kept it's old architecture structure. Formely all the members were people livinf in the village and were workers of the sugar factory or were working for the Sugar Industry. Nowadays all the in habitants have been located elsewhere. Nevertheless it is a kovil still well visited by the devotees and all the poosai mentioned above are being celebrated promptly. |

| Historical Background | The Ferney Mariamen Kovil does not have an exact date about its foundation. It was constructed by the ancestors at the time the sugar mill was set up at Ferney. They considered the inexistance of a kovil in a village to be a bad omen for the residents. The present building has been reconstructed in 1997 at a time when Ferney became a deserted village with the eruption of VRS. |
